Finalized our Score and Music tracks with this talented group of musicians.
MUSIC & SOUNDTRACK: We've spent the better part of the summer/fall working with composers and licensing music to give this film an amazing soundtrack. We couldn't have done this without the help of LA music supervisor, Abe Bradshaw. Abe's patience for our insane requests and his ability to create solutions has been invaluable. We will announce our featured artists soon, as we get close to finalizing everything in the sound mix. However, we got to work with some incredibly talented composers! They all worked very hard to create original arrangements! Below are a list of these talented people.
THE COMPOSERS
JONATHAN SNIPES, Los Angeles Film/TV composer & sound designer (Room 237, Battlestar Galatica, The Office). Jonathan is a master at creating electronic soundscapes that make us nostalgic for the films we grew up with and adored. In his elaborate music science lab, Jonathan created some powerful & cinematic "in-the-ring" themes for Lucha Mexico!
SERGIO MENDOZA, Tucson's own Mambo King helms his own big-band Mendoza Orkesta. When he's not busy with La Orkesta he tours & plays keys for Indie Rock band, Calexico. Sergio composed tracks for us & re-recorded some Mexican songs with his talented friends. His Cumbia and Mariachi tracks capture Mexico's passion & fever for Lucha Libre!
ODILON CHAVEZ, Mexican Composer, Orchestrator, Conductor & Music Producer. Odilon is a well-known Film/TV composer in Mexico City. He recently orchestrated the popular live album "COMO TE VOY A OLVIDAR" by Los Angeles Azules.
JASON YOUNG, Los Angeles Composer & Drummer for the rock band, THE RUSE. Jason also has a solo electronic project called HEARTOUR that we've been a fan of for years. We were thrilled that he created a track for us!
